Professor Hope Tabak

Professor Hope Tabak, a distinguished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) black belt world champion, began her martial arts journey at age 6 with karate. Her passion for martial arts led her to explore various styles, including wrestling and Muay Thai, before fully dedicating herself to BJJ as a teenager. Hope has achieved international recognition, securing medals in prestigious competitions such as the Pan Ams, World No-Gi, Abu Dhabi Grand Slam, and CBJJE World Championships. Her national achievements are equally impressive, including multiple titles at the IBJJF Sydney International Open and Pan Pacific Championships.

Now a key figure at Blue Mountains Jiu Jitsu Academy, Hope brings her extensive experience and expertise to the mats, inspiring and guiding students. She holds Cert III and IV in fitness and personal training, which adds depth to her coaching abilities. Her commitment to BJJ and her role as a coach make her an invaluable asset to the academy and the broader martial arts community.
