about us

We're a closely-knit and strategic team, uniting for each training session and competition to ensure every team member reaches their highest potential in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Our Mission

Develop the most effective techniques and strategies that bring the greatest benefit to our team members, while fostering a culture of respect and discipline within our gym and community.

Our Philosophy

‘Become Who You Are’ BMJJA’s approach is underpinned by the philosophical idea of ‘becoming who you are.’ Achieving mastery in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is more than acquiring technical know-how; it’s an expression of self-growth. It provides insights and skills to succeed in whichever endeavors we choose in our lives.

Play as a Catalyst for Growth

At BMJJA, play is an intrinsic part of our curriculum. It fosters open and curious engagement, enhances critical thinking, and turns challenges into opportunities for growth.

Our Location

Blue Mountains Jiu Jitsu Academy has been based in Springwood since 2018, with our Warehouse Space in the Industrial Zone off Hawkesbury Road, and our Basement on the main street of Springwood opposite the train station.
